How we score ourselves.
When a name we watch heads toward release, we write down a drop window before it happens. When the registry actually lets it go, we score that window. Nothing is edited after the fact.
0 of 25 drops scored so far, 0 predictions in flight.
We publish the percentage once 25 drops have resolved.
The rules
A prediction is recorded the first time we see a name enter grace, redemption or pending delete, using only what we knew then. The drop moment is the midpoint between the last registry answer that still listed the name and the first that didn’t — in the final hours we check every minute, so that gap is small.
A window counts as a hit if the drop falls inside it. We also report how many landed within two days of the window’s midpoint, because a wide window that always hits isn’t useful.
If the owner renews or restores the name, there is no drop to score. Those predictions are voided and counted separately (0 so far), never quietly dropped.
Our record includes names NameHeart watches itself, not just customers’ lists, so it isn’t skewed by what happens to be popular.
